Filtration

The biology of an aquarium and the efficiency of the filter mainly depend on the use of the right filter material. When selecting the filter material, a distinc tion is made between mechanical, biological and chemical filters. For example Ceramlit's smalltubes are used as mechanical filters, Absorbex sintered glass rings as biological filters and Zeolith, aquatic grade peat or filtering charcoal as chemical filters. Therefore filters should always be fitted withdifferent filter materials as only properly equipped filters ensure that the water stays crystal clear and in top quality.
